I so envy your ability to describe those times. We really did have to some fine times. I often remember playing basketball on the side of your garage, or playing baseball in the lot next to our house. Unless you were there, there is no way to describe the peace, freedom, and joy of those days. We had no idea how good we had it.

Mike Parrish and I talked our parents into letting us ride the bus to our first football game at Holmes. We were baby faced seventh graders and we were excited to be going to see the Orange and Black Tigers play somewhere in east Dallas. Besides all that Mike's first cousin Jerry Stevens was the starting quarterback for our team. The ride over was fun, I can't remember who won the game but I do definitely remember the ride home. Driving west on Loop 12 the bus driver took the wrong exit and we pulled off onto the service road down by the old country club in the river bottom. There we no street lights and there we were, a bus load of goofy kids, a bus driver who obviously didn't know his way and one dark spooky road. We drove under the road, made a u turn, backed up and all of a sudden there were a bunch of scared kids. After a while of wandering around we found our way back to the Loop and on to Holmes. A night to remember. Memories.

Yes Shannon you can do anything...almost Clay showed me how to take pics of checks front and back and deposit them. Chase bank sends me a text confirming the deposit. Clay has been depositing his rodeo checks for sometime like that as he is always on the road...We can't disagree about anything without googleing (I don't know if thats a real word) to solve the disagreement or drive without someone GPSing the route we're taking. You're driving along and everyone says at one time "take a right or take a left or where are you going for crying out loud"

Glad to see ya'll got your new GB up & running! Ya'll will like this one, our class has been using it for several yrs. You can customise it to suit your class' needs. But a tip - Don't check "private" when you make a post or else no one can see it! Only the webmaster can see it!

I want to say a heartfelt thank you to the men and women of our class (and your children) who have served in the military of this great country. I think of my little buddy Billy Relf whom I walked to school with many a day who gave the ultimate sacrifice in Viet Nam when he was just a kid. And there are countless others from many SOC classes. Thank you for giving part of your life to serve and protect me and my family. And to Jim Lamar and Jim Bailey- thanks for all the work you do to keep this website up and running.

My brother has an Iphone and uses it for everything -banking, bill paying, dictionary while working crossword puzzles, and on and on. Me? I still have a flip phone & don't even text!

Wow everything keeps changing...Our web site and my son gave me an I-Phone and am just getting used to it. He told me I would never go back to using any other phone again...I think he's right.

Nice features, same colors as web site, just empty for now. For those wondering what happened, the provider of the previous Guest Book service stopped offering it. They told us they would and when but I let golf divert my attention from finding a new one in a timely manner. That is now fixed. Jim
